It really is the first chance to say hello and thank you for seeking us out. While I have a moment of your time, I will just jump right in and tell you a tiny snippet of who and what Galleriedesart is all about.
As a private collector, I have acquired artwork for my own enjoyment for many years
Most times 19th Century portraiture and still life but also impressionism and post-impressionist works together with genre paintings which I find hugely fascinating. There is really something truly wonderful within the simplicity of the ‘everyday’ so for me perhaps a simple domestic scene, the kitchen maid, the nursery, gathering the harvest, or a character lost in thought amidst a moment of solitude is enough.
They all have the capability to captivate and were all owned by someone else who equally found them enchanting, so in essence that is why I have chosen to create Galleriedesart, to unearth wonderful examples of all and any art classification and to bring those works to the open market for you to own and in doing so become part of their history.

Well simply put, we will be doing all the work, (we relish it) but actually finding quality examples really does take a great deal of time and effort so we will do all the rummaging through auction houses, private estate sales, and hours of online enquiries to source wonderful opportunities for your consideration.
All of our works are owned outright, and we have acquired them having satisfied our provenance research and have thoroughly (where possible) delved into the artwork and the biography of the artist to provide as much supporting information as can be gleaned from both primary and secondary sources, and by utilising the various Art Resource capability we have available.
